Piano Bridge near Dubina

Piano Bridge near Dubina by Mabry Campbell

Erected in 1885, the Piano Bridge was named for the twanging sound that was made when crossing the bridge. The bridge spans the Navidad River and connects the communities of High Hill and Dubina, Texas’ first Czech community.

Following CR 480 past the church in Dubina, you will pass the Old Dubina Store and continuing west you will cross the “Piano Bridge”.

This area has a lot of great back roads, and is home to several of the fabulous and famous painted churches. The closest is Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on FM 1383 in Dubina.
